Product Description

A Filter Wavelength Division Multiplexer (FWDM) is a device that combines or separates light at different wavelengths within a wide wavelength range. FWDM devices are based on thin film filter technology, which is a flat glass surface with optical coatings that reflect and pass certain colored lights. FWDM devices can have low insertion loss, low polarization dependence, high isolation, and excellent environmental stability. 
 
FWDM devices can expand the capacity of a single fiber to achieve bidirectional communication. They are widely used in optical network upgrades and expansion, and in EDFA (Erbium-doped Optical Amplifier), Raman amplifiers, and WDM networks.
